After years of vacancy, new life will retract into the church after the executed formation of the foundation "The Kilian Church", foundation for art and culture, which is already carried out.

In the future the church will be used as a multifunctional cultural centre offering a large variety of possibilities for creation and creativity in particular to the youth work in Mühlhausen and its theatre workshop 3K. The theatre workshop stands for a theatre "for touching" and as a centre for communication and culture. Activity is not limited to classical theatre work, but a theatre with a not clearly defined stage is carried on.

A former garage next to the church was already transformed into the theatre workshop. This building houses rehearsal rooms, offices and the stage workshop.
