Given the continuious regional efforts to exploit the touristic potential of the "Havelland" more towards an economic aspect the "Havelland cycling path", seen as a central axis, gains an increasing importance. Merged into the extensive cross regional path network the cycle path represents a valuable com- prehensive connection between the counties leading from Berlin to "Brandenburg" to "Sachsen-Anhalt".

The concept fits out the “Havelland cycling path” with multi-functional wooden space of same design at significant areas, crossings and places of attraction.

Not only does the use of local types of wood act as the elemental building material. The material wood can be also prefabricated, transported and assembled/ modified by the final user (IKEA-principle) easily.
